Getting kids and families of all colors outside is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3.
Step 1: Provide safe and fun activities that build community like the Community Firefly Hike, pictured on this page.
Step 2: Reconnect families with nature through events, images and stories that illustrate the rich outdoor history of people of color.
Step 3: Give people the tools to make outdoor activities a habit. This includes creating local outdoor clubs and consulting with parks departments and nature centers to help them make connections to families of color.
Our Core Belief is that nature is the greatest healer and teacher. Our Mission is to provide outdoor opportunities that increase health and wellness and promote learning. We create community through public hikes and events that heal our hearts, calm our minds, and remind us that we are more alike than different.
