There are several ways that we provide programming:
1) Public Events: We create our own events, like the Community Firefly Hike, which are open to the public.
2) Church Events: We create events for African American Churches to participate. We are currently working with two churches: Christ the Solid Rock Baptist Church and S.S. Morris Community AME Church.
3) Promote Existing Events: We recommend and promote events like the Halloween Hike at Governor Nelson State Park to our followers. Dane County is home to many outstanding outdoor events. We promote only the best events and provide guidance to families on how to enjoy them.
4) Host Conversations and Attend Conferences: We host conversations that promote outdoors experiences such as Brainstorm: How do we make Outdoor Activities more Accessible to Children of Color in Madison? This fall, you will find us at Black Women’s Wellness Day in September.
New programs will be posted as they come up so come back often.
